What a time to be alive! Only two teams remain, and WE ARE ONE OF THEM! I was thrILled to be one of the lucky few to witness UNC beat Indiana and Notre Dame in Philadelphia last weekend, and I got to play my clarinet for Roy and the boys in the hotel which was incredible. Speaking of good times, before spring break, our Iota Lambda got together with the sisters from North Carolina Central’s Epsilon Lambda chapter for a potluck dinner. The night went more swimmingly than food-centered events Da ILlest has held in the past, so in lieu of burnt or forgotten food, memories were kindled through intriguing and hilarious conversations. We had mouth-watering meatballs, baked beans that put my grandmother’s to shame (sorry, not sorry, Grandma), and ice (I really like cold beverages, okay!?). Once our food had settled, in standard fashion, our chapters started strolling. Their ever-so-lovely sister, Kendra, had the patience to teach us one of their strolls, which was a lot of fun for everyone involved, including me, a bystander! It looked like a lot of fun, though, so I hopped in too and ignored the fact that my body is lanky and awkward ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I speak on behalf of the chapter in saying that we are very excited to have this newly formed relationship with the sisters of Epsilon Lambda, and we look forward to continuing that relationship through future stroll practices, and arguably more importantly, those baked beans!
