-November 2nd, our chapter and the Mu Eta Chapter of KKPsi held an ITB 10 Year Celebration. It was really nice to see some of the alumni that came out. We all headed to Franklin Street to grab take-out and headed back to Hill Hall to share a meal together. After dinner, we were split up into teams and played Trivia, Carolina Coffee shop style (hosted by Nora). After Trivia, we ate cake and took pictures! Thanks to all the alumni who came out and celebrated with us!
November 3rd was Carolina’s homecoming game! We celebrated 225 years of Carolina! UNC faced Georgia Tech. Our chapter met with the sisTAUs of Epsilon Theta from Georgia Tech, Atlanta, Georgia! We spent some time getting to know each other during third quarter. We gave a signed wooden plaque and received a duct tape-decorated drumhead in return. Thanks to Epsilon Theta for being amazing sisTAUs and making the trip to Chapel Hill! November 8th, the MECs held their bake sale after practice and they sold out within 20 minutes!! They made brownies, Oreo balls, chocolate chip cookies, and chocolate covered pretzel rods. For my line’s bake sale, we had to stand out in the freezing cold on Franklin Street to sale all our goods! #jealous #happy4themthough November 11th, Historian, Ava Smith, planned a day for some sisters to help organize and decorate the ITB room. We hung all the chapter gifts on the walls, decorated the shelves, and organized the rest of the room. Outside the door, we hung a poster which says, “service never sleeps”. November 24th, UNC faced up against WCU. Carolina had its 2nd (& probably last) Carolina Victory! It was military appreciation game, which the halftime show featured “Stars and Stripes” and other patriotic songs. The pictures across the field included a battle ship, star, jet, submarine, tank, and a cannon, in which the majorettes ran out of with their fire batons! November 25th, the Sisterhood and Social committee organized a sister retreat! All the sisters brought brunch and the MECs were invited as well. We played the “Newly Wed” game, played “Guess the Sister”, “Touch Someone Who…”, and a yarn web activity which shows how the sisters are all interrelated. In the middle of the retreat, we had a serious activity, where we gave examples of qualities a “good sister” exhibits and qualities a “not-so-good sister” exhibits. This activity helped progress and strengthen our chapter as we continue to grow. All the activities were mediated by Leanne, who did a wonderful job creating the activities. November 24th will be the NC State vs. UNC game, Senior Day, which will be the last performance for some of our seniors! #I’mNotCryingYouAre At the very end of November, we will hopefully have some new sisters crossing into DaILlest Chapter!!! Stay tuned... |
