October has been a busy week for our new membership candidates (we now call them MCs). Our VPM, Ava Smith, has been implementing our new curriculum called “Overture” which includes more hands-on activities and assessments for our prospective members! Soon they will begin practicing for probate!
It’s also been a busy month for SAS events! So far this month, we’ve gone on a trip to Maple View Ice Cream, had a Halloween Party, and took a trip to the NC State Fair! Shoutout to our SAS Chair Mei for planning many events for us to do this month! Andre, our Parliamentarian, has also begun the process of revising our constitution. The main change includes creating a “Song & Step Coordinator” (name pending) whose main job is to maintain the good performance of our chapter/sorority songs and steps/strolls. We will be voting on these changes at the end of the month! Our Historian & Webmaster, Mei, is also in the process of creating an alumni newsletter! It will update all of our alumni about what our chapter has been up to, and will also feature current sisTAUs and alumni so that we can all continue to grow with each other in the bond! Hopefully these alumni newsletters will also be shared on this website! If you have any questions or need to be added to the alumni newsletter, please email her at [email protected]! Finally, we ended October with a “Boo-Gram” fundraiser organized by our treasurer, Kate! We delivered tootsie pops (dressed like ghosts) to members of the MTH with personalized messages from their friends! Jala, our VPSP, also worked on events for our Music in Service Month which included a study session and trivia night! |
