October 5th, membership education classes began! Hannah Williams, VPM. Leanne Summers and Melanie Beam, AVPMs.
October 7th, the chapter participated in a workshop provided by Ebenezer, on Risk Management Education. We watched a video on how to be safe during membership recruitment of new members. We all signed a pledge to “stand for TBS”. On October 13th, we met with the sisTAUs of Zeta Omicron from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia! We enjoyed several minutes of chatting and getting to know each other’s sisters. We exchanged gifts, in which we gave a signed wooden plaque and received a hand painted paddle in return. Thanks to Zeta Omicron for being awesome sisTAUs and making the trip all the way down to Chapel Hill! October 15th, the History and Alumni committee decorated our bulletin board with pictures from the Rho line’s probate! It looks really good and it’s right outside Hill 107. October 24th, many members from all of the Greek Music Councils participated in a craft event where we all bonded, decorated and made decorations of the GMC Semi-Formal. October 26th, all the organizations from the Greek Music Council held a GMC Semi-Formal at the Franklin Hotel. There was a DJ, photo booth, and finger foods. IL helped with the set up and cleanup of the event and it went very swimmingly. On October 27th, The Marching Tar Heels traveled to go to Charlottesville, Virginia to play at the UNC vs. UVA game. We met with the Iota Kappa chapter during third quarter and had a few minutes of good conversation. We also gave them a signed plaque, which they greatly appreciated! Thanks to Iota Kappa for their friendliness during our visit! October 28th, our chapter received a visit from Amber Scott, who works with many Chapters of TBS. She held a workshop teaching our chapter how to become more diverse and grow. All of her information was very helpful and we will carry it with us as we progress forward. |
