The past week has been very eventful! We had our Spring Membership Recruitment Week. On Sunday, we had our interest meeting. The real excitement came in the game night we had afterwards. Things got a little heated during a game of Cranium. What can I say? I'm competitive. *shrugs* On Monday, the heat did NOT simmer down. What started off as a movie night became watching the Office and Parks & Rec, which then became watching State play an incredibly close game to d00k. The last few minutes were intense, but ultimately, the Devils succumbed to the wolves. We all felt like winners that night. Tuesday's event came just in time because I was starving..TACO TUESDAY at Moe's. That quesadilla really hit the spot. Afterwards, many of our members headed to Psi's game night event. On Wednesday, we did the funnest event AKA Cheerwine and Design with cupcakes. As you can see in the picture, there were some pretty original designs. Thursday afternoon was dedicated to what we're all about: service. Before the game that night, we met in the band office to strip color guard flags off of their poles and organize the new band storage space.
I interrupt this Rush Week info to shed light on the exciting weekend that some member of UNC ITB had. On Friday, five sisters and six brothers headed to Atlanta. Our first stop was the Bowl 'n Stroll, at which TBΣ and KKΨ members and alumni from various SED chapters came together. Some groups participated in the strolling contest. The sisters from Theta Zeta at A&T won (yasss NC way to represent! ). A lot of nalia was sold there. The next day we went to a cookout for ITB with some good cooking before heading to the Georgia Dome for Honda's Battle of the Bands. Eight HBCU marching bands performed. Ne-Yo was their halftime show, and I swear 13 year old me was finally satisfied with life. All of it was so good! After HBOB, we went back to the hotel. Some of us had a night out. Others chilled in the hotel. The next morning, we made our way back to catch the last event of Rush Week. At 7:46pm on Sunday night, we had our invitation-only dinner. We served breakfast for dinner. Shout out to Jordan and her homemade cinnamon rolls because those gave our taste buds so much joy! In the coming weeks, we will be having a dinner with sisters from other chapter(s), ITB Week, and our annual Crescendo event. Stay tuned!
