On April 19, 2008, the Iota Lambda chapter of Tau Beta Sigma was charted. So last month, we celebrated out 9th birthday! We kicked off the week with a movie night. There's nothing quite like watching Drumline with fellow band members. The real hype came when we saw the brothers of KKPsi doing their stroll in the movie. Some of us had not watched the movie in many years, so it was cool to realize that our brothers were being represented!
On Tuesday night, we held our annual Women in Music celebration. Special thanks to Ms. Golden and Mrs. Klebanow for sharing their experiences in the field of music with us! We love seeing women excel in their professions, especially in those that are music related (peep the mission statement 😎 !)
Wednesday was Charter Day! We celebrated by having cake in the Pit. Whenever people stopped by our table, we were sure to tell them what Tau Beta Sigma is and what we do. In retrospect, we probably should have gotten a bigger cake because it was gone before we knew it! On a serious note, we are beyond thankful and grateful for our Charter Mothers that brought this incredible sisterhood to UNC. Many of us could not imagine our college experience without it. Thank you, Charter Line!
Thursday evening was a lot of fun! We hosted a chILl with IL event in the Union. We had pizza, soda, and different games available for everyone. All of us showed our competitive sides, some more than others (me!). It was a great bonding experience and a nice environment for relaxing since finals were right round the corner!

The highlight of Charter Week came on Friday evening when we had out joint new member presentation with Kappa Kappa Psi. We now have two new neos, and they are both absolutely fantastic! We are all so proud of them for their hard work throughout their journey into the sisterhood of Tau Beta Sigma!
